We produce UV Adhesive Plates for all the equipment in the market

                                  UV are manufactured with special Entomological glue, it does not degrade under ultraviolet light emitted by the UV lamps.


 Base plates are manufactured on Correx (plastic) or in cardboard Foldingen and the most popular colors are white, yellow and black.





We cut material´s bases with a guillotine a little larger than the final base.

We print the grid (useful for the count of captured insects), together with the information that request us our customers. Printing depends on the material and size of the bases, using Offset printing, industrial inkjet printing and silkscreen printing.

The base once printed, we die-cut  the final form of the sheet, in Ecotrampa we have two automatic die cutters, one for the sheets  of cards with a capacity of 5000 pieces per hour and another bridge die-cutter  of the Correx (Plastic carton)that allows die-cut parts  up to 60 cm by 120 cm.

Our laboratory accredited with the ISO certification performs quality testing to ensure that the UV plates obtained the highest quality both in power of capture and durability of their properties.

A UV light trap is a remover insect which acts mostly on flies, blowflies, mosquitoes, moths, wasps etc.




The insects are attracted by UV (ultraviolet) light generated by the equipment tubes and approach are trapped in the adhesive plate




It is a harmless product 100%, free of contaminants, poison, biocides, etc. Achieving the desired goal in a short time and in places where you should not use chemicals such as insecticides etc.


Unlike the electrocute tubes, the UV trap with sticky traps, insects are captured whole trapped on the adhesive plate, they don´t burst electrocuted by electric spark, avoiding cross-contamination of the machine ´s environment with the remains and insects particulates, avoiding the food contamination and allergies in humans. According with health and safety regulations.. They are silent and odorless.




Its use is very varied and diverse. Its use can be industrial, commercial or private. Areas of catering, laboratories, workplaces, storage medical research area, etc. etc., in other words, in any area where you need or want a free space of flying insects.





UV Light emitting Tubes overtime is losing in percentage terms the emission of ultraviolet light, so it is necessary to replace them at least once a year.


It is necessary to clean frequently the tubes with a cloth soaked in alcohol (disconnect the equipment to perform this operation) to remove the surface dust as this may cause a reduction up to 25% in light emission


Adhesive plates last from 6 months or more, but should be replace  before when they become saturated with insects.





The equipment installation should be planned according with the insects to ensnare. For example the most common flies low flying so the ideal height is 1-1, 5 meters above the ground. Must be take into account that in a room of 15 meters high, they will fly higher than in one of 3 meters.


  • We have to make sure that the traps are hanging where they  will not disturb and where people cannot head banging on them, in that sense, and although it is far for ideal, it is normal that devices in a room with a height of 5 meters are hang at a height of 2 meters or a little more.


  • At the time to place the traps it is always necessary to take account of  that although flies have a relatively short visual reach its smell is very powerful and they will always be close to places where attractive smells for them (kitchen or waste areas)


  • Many flying insects do not comply with the attraction to the tubes 15 watts at one distance greater than 30 meters and flies at not more than 6 meters, increase much at distances of less than 3.5 meters. However do not forget that it is an insect with great mobility and virtually covers all the volume of an enclosed room.


  • Most of the flies comply immediately with the attraction to the UV light. Laboratory tests conducted in an atmosphere of size according to the installed equipment, without entrance of sunlight and in which 100 flies are released, the following average results were obtained: in the first five minutes become stuck to the adhesive plate between 20 and 30%,  15 minutes after they were already between 50% and 60% and in less than two hours they  were all attached. However, conditions are not always ideal, so should be considered the following practical results: 92% retention after 7 hours, 98% after 24 hours, and 99% at the end of 36 hours.


It has been checked that a very small percentage of flies,  for unknown reasons (attributed to decreased visual acuity), are attracted late by UV light, but in his constant movement, sooner or later they are trapped.


  • Common fluorescent lamps and incandescent ones offer no competition. However mercury vapor lamps emit enough UV light to reduce the effectiveness of the traps. On the contrary low power sodium vapour lamps, increase the effectiveness of the traps. Yes  sunlight competes with advantage so should be avoided the direct income through doors or windows with screen meshes or air curtains.


  • Basically take into account that it is necessary to intercept flying insects until they enter in hot spots and move them away from products susceptible to contamination, attracting them to itself.


  • To be 100% effective the equipment must be on 24 hours a day.


  • The equipment must be placed in free from dust places and will not obstruct the operations or the passing of carts or transport.


  • Insects have an optimum temperature of 30° C for their development. As the temperature decreases, reduces its activity decrease and at temperatures below 10 ° C it practically stops. The traps placement should be avoided in cold area.


  • It has been shown that flies when enter in a room they follow a circular trail turning counterclockwise which suggests that the traps must always be positioned to the right of its preferred gateways.


  • It is vital to protect other access points like, open windows and doors, using more than one device if necessary. Traps should be placed so they will not attract insects from outside especially at night.


  • Experience recommends that the ideal spacing for our traps is on the order of 10-12 meters.  Obviously we refer to a square room with walls facing.


  • When there are several interconnected locals, traps should be placed always on the route that insects can take since their entry.


  • Do not place devices in areas of air currents, below fans or outlets of the air conditioning system


  • To protect the openings where insects enter, often it is more effective to install the equipment suspended in a horizontal way.


  • Must take care that devices are not opposite to the window that gets direct sunlight, is better to place them perpendicularly so they have no competition from the UV light emitted by the Sun. Equally they do not face doors and windows because they will act as Attractants for insects from outside buildings.
